I'm quiet, sarcastic, an intellectual (at times), a computer programmer, funny, kind, loyal, and I love to play Piano. I liked all genres of music at one point in my life, even country, but right now I probably listen more to 90s alternative, 80s, and electronic jazz type stuff. I've played piano for over 15 years and really enjoy improvising. I enjoy producing on my Home Studio, but the most fun I have is just listening to music and sitting at the piano and seeing what comes out. I'd like to find some friends who like to play instruments as well, and who have enough training to be able to dance over chord progressions that pop into our heads. Learning existing songs is of course rewarding and fun, but I see too many people using them as musical bibles instead of just sonic literature and ultimately can limit your creativity and confidence and discourage you from letting that spontaneous creativity out. I also enjoy computers. my degree is in Computer Science. I also enjoy playing video games. They're like dreams someone took the time to recreate in the real world. Sure most are snoozes and uninspired frag fests, but there are plenty of gems as well. I play WoW, but on my way out of that timesink and back more into music. I still love cartoons, because my sense of humor never grew up, it just got a more robust vocabulary. Most of the time it seems I favor the imaginary or absurd over reality. I get plenty of reality on a regular basis and frankly it can get quite repetitive. I love things that put me in alternate realities, probably because my dreams are almost always extremely vivid, strange, and sometimes disturbing. But then that's what keeps them interesting. So anything not at least somewhat strange bores me. I've been told I think too much which has bit me in the arse multiple times. Analysis paralysis they say. I'm really picky about my close friends because I prefer having a small group of friends that I do everything with. I can get personal rather quick because the impersonal things get increasingly boring the older you get. This can seem intimidating to some, but I'm too kind to ever use it against anyone.

I am a Geologist, and I work offshore for an Oilfield service company. I spend anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks per month offshore. I enjoy reading, and I used to hike a lot, but I haven't found many hiking trails near Lafayette, LA. I am originally from Arizona, and I am used to having Mountains around, all this flat greenness kind of makes me feel blah. I also used to love swimming, but that was in nice clean clear water at home. Where you could see down too the bottom, and you knew there weren't any large reptiles or snakes waiting for you.

i am considered to be a classic nut case (at least to myself). i do art stuff (not tree-hugger art), like painting (with actual paint brushes, not fingers). i can do sketch stuff decently well (a cut above stick figure *they get clothes, and the occasional shoe!*), but my favorite to do is creative writings. most of my stories (that is the one's i actually finish) have complicated plots. that or they aren't the typical bed time story material, very descriptive, heavy, or dark (unless your Ozzy's child, then you get gorier, darker stuff for bedtime). just to make sure you know, the words in parentheses are my inner voices adding stuff, or the radio in the back ground, who knows (you are listing to classic rock station, 96.5 fm!).

My life revolves around raising my children. Being a single dad gives me a great opportunity to raise my children the best way I know how since I am responsible for their outcome. My health is good; I have wonderful kids and a great job. I donâ??t need anything. However I do believe that love is the greatest thing on earth, and I think it is my responsibility to teach my children by example. I am in no hurry to be in love or remarried, but I do think it is a natural part of life and hope that when the time is right it will fall in place as the rest of my life has. From experience there is no avoiding the conflict of a woman wanting her own children and I could never bear the guilt of not doing my part. So I have to stand firm on a woman bringing her own children to the relationship or not able to have any. Mine have a good father and mother but they have plenty of love to share with new family also. I was raised as a gentleman and have learned the hard way the difference between a naive princess and a mature queen.

For the next five years I will be staying put in Lafayette until the kids start college but then they will stay here while I leave. I have been several places around the world so unless there is another reason to stay I am anxious to go back to see what I missed my first go round.

allo. i'm kevin and i'm currently a pizza maker. i'm about to become a private security officer and will soon after go to school. i'm also a musician. i don't actually "play" any instruments at the moment though. i used to play alot of piano and now i don't have access to one. i still work programs to use samples to create beats and such till i begin to put together my studio that i'm building in my bedroom.

i don't really go out at all. i hate bars and clubs. i really don't like being around people when they drink. i've had enough problems with alcoholics in my life that i don't need to be around people seeking high levels of mental incompetence via consumption of shitty tasting beverages. not fun at all in my opinion. so i tend to stay home alot and watch movies or television shows on netflix or play whatever video game i have at the time. then of course as soon as the beat drops in my head i run straight for my computer and begin working on it. usually at around midnight depending on what day it is i go work out. believe it or not, busting up my body till i can hardly move is actually quite fun. hat kinda sums up what i do every day.

i really would like to break out of that and go out and do things. just going out to get coffee or eating at a restaurant or something where i can just be around and have someone to talk to. things like that sound awsome to me. i'm really not that complicated. just really desiring of some kind of companion.

I intend to live in a just manner. If everyone in the world started listening instead of speaking it would be a much more peaceful place to live. I don't want anything in life but to a nice person to be around. Being alive is amazing to me, and to peacefully observe the world around us seems like a pretty nice life objective. Wisdom can be acquired even through seemingly insignificant day-to-day tasks (I've had some of my best thoughts while I was mowing the lawn.)
